This is for a game called Bioshock 2. I like how they put the type inside the frame to box everything together, but still left the 2 outside just hanging. The shadows behind the words work very well to make them pop off the page. I also like the text of the background how it gives it an aged look.

I really like how the letters are made out of building when you look up at them. It took me a little while to figure out that the letters were buildings. I don't know if I would want to did this project cause that would be hard to find the letters, but its very creative.

Boderlands

This is for a game called Borderlands, I like how the type is very big and bold so it stands out from the background. They have some distortion going on in the type which adds to the mood of the game. The layout is also good, from the guy in center, then the type on top with the shadow behind it to make it pop.

I like how this poster has hand written type. It also has that feel that it is drawn on a chalk board. The type is all crazy like, and is not evenly aline, and I like how that looks. I found this image on the internet and it stood out ot me.

The design of this poster is amazing, I like how it has that old feeling to it. Its hard to read the type with the image over it, but the image give it that old feeling, and how the type is faded in some places. I found this on the internet and it stood out to me.

This type is crazy, to me it looks like mealting ice cream. This just caught my eye, and I was trying to figure out what it says. I like how they play off the with of the page makeing some cool forms.

OLD BOOK

Eric de Berranger is the designer who made Old Book type. He wanted to give the appearance of antique printing that shows wear to it. How he came up with this type is that he was creating another type called Maxime. He realized the letter shapes were based for his antique typeface, and thats how Old Book was born. It captures the flavor of aged, uneven, and imperfect printing, but is also readable in text sizes.
